A Day Trip to Waskesiu Lake Resort: Worth the Drive!
Nestled in the state forest near Prince Albert, Waskesiu Lake Resort is a nature lover’s paradise. With stunning views, immaculate forestry, and a friendly village full of great little shops, it’s no wonder this is one of the most popular destination spots in Saskatchewan. And thanks to our friends who recommended we take the trip, we were able to finally check it out for ourselves – here is our quick day trip to Waskesiu Lake
Beautiful Fauna and Flora
The drive up was breathtaking, full of beautiful fauna and flora the further north we got out of Saskatoon. We even spotted an elk on our way in! Once we arrived at the resort, it was exactly as described—a quaint little village with a peaceful feel and some really great coffee. The state forest surrounding the area is just immaculate—the trees are gorgeous and it feels like you’re truly in nature. We even checked the water temps while we were there and they were perfect for swimming if you’re Canadian…ha-ha! just a wee bit cold for us Aussies! All in all, it was a very enjoyable day trip and well worth the drive.
